Baden-Baden is a spa town in the German state of Baden-Württemberg in southwestern Germany (district capital is the city of Karlsruhe). It is located in the northern foothills of the Black Forest, on the banks of the Oos River in close proximity to France and Switzerland. Fragments of its ancient sculptures are still to be seen and in 1847, the well preserved remains of Roman vapour baths were discovered just below the New Castle.
The Museum was opened in 1991 as a daughter of the Sinsheim Auto & Technik Museum and is run by a registered alliance called “Auto & Technik Museum Sinsheim e.V.”. As of 2004, it has more than 2,000 exhibits and an exhibition area of more than 150,000 m². It pulls more than half a million visitors per year. Additionally to the exhibitions, the museum also sports a 22m x 27m giant IMAX Dome theatre.
Amsterdam is the capital city of and the most populous within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Its status as the Dutch capital is mandated by the Constitution of the Netherlands though it is not the seat of the Dutch government, which is at The Hague. It comprises much of the northern part of the Randstad, one of the larger conurbations in Europe, with a population of approximately 7 million.
Moscow is the capital city and the most populous federal subject of Russia. The city is a major political, economic, cultural and scientific center in Russia and in Eurasia. According to Forbes 2013, Moscow has the largest community of billionaires in the world. Moscow is the northernmost megacity on Earth, the second most populous city in Europe after Istanbul and the 5th largest city proper in the world. It is the largest city in Russia, with a population. Moscow is situated on the Moskva River in the Central Federal District of European Russia making it the world’s most populated inland city.
Altai Krai has rolling foothills, grasslands, lakes, rivers, and mountains.
The climate is severe with long cold dry winters and hot, usually dry summers. The region’s main waterway is the Ob River. The Biya and Katun Rivers are also important. The biggest lakes are Lake Kulundinskoye, Lake Kuchukskoye, and Lake Mikhaylovskoye.
The Altai Mountains are a mountain range in East-Central Asia, where Russia, China, Mongolia and Kazakhstan come together, and are where the rivers Irtysh and Ob have their headwaters.
